G'day Bird

From G'day Bird
Common Potoo № 152

Common Potoo

Nyctibius griseus

Spends the day as a broken branch, watching through slits in its closed eyelids. In a Bolivian legend its falling night song is a girl turned into a bird, mourning the lover her father had killed.
