G'day Bird

From G'day Bird
Eastern Whipbird № 7

Eastern Whipbird

Psophodes olivaceus

That long whipcrack through wet forest is a duet: the male winds up the whistle, the female snaps the ending. You'll hear them far more often than you see them.
